Terms of use

Last updated: 2026-09-08

These terms are the agreement between you and Techmakerz when you use techmakerz.com, buy a plan, or receive a kit. Please read them before you pay. If something here is not clear, message us and ask — we would rather explain it now than argue about it later.

Who you are dealing with

The company's registration details are available on request — write to hello@techmakerz.com.

For anything at all — questions, complaints, or a problem with an order — write to hello@techmakerz.com or message the WhatsApp number shown on the site. We aim to reply within two working days.

What we sell

A subscription to an online robotics and programming course, and a hardware kit that is posted to you so you can build what you are learning to program.

The course is delivered online. Lessons are released level by level; the level that is open on the day you join is shown on the site before you pay, and levels that are not written yet are marked as such.

Who can buy

You must be 18 or over to buy a plan and to hold the account. Our students are 12 to 17, so in almost every case the account belongs to a parent or legal guardian, and the student learns under it.

This is not a formality. Under UAE data protection law a person under 18 cannot give valid consent to their personal data being processed. See our Parental consent page for what that means in practice.

Prices, VAT and renewals

All prices are shown in UAE dirhams (AED) and include VAT where it applies.

A pre-launch discount applies to the first term only. The price you pay to renew is the full price shown on the plans page at the time of renewal, not the discounted price you first paid. We show this on the plan card before you buy.

A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from your account, and cancelling stops the next charge; it does not refund the term you are in, except as set out in our Refund policy.

Paying

We accept cards, digital wallets, and instalments through Tabby. Card details are handled by the payment provider and never reach our servers.

If a payment fails we will tell you and try again. If it keeps failing, access pauses rather than disappears — your progress is kept.

Your kit

Delivery times, coverage, damaged or missing parts and returns are set out on the Delivery and returns page, which forms part of these terms.

Refunds

Set out in full on our Refund policy page, which forms part of these terms. Nothing in these terms removes the rights you have under UAE Consumer Protection Law.

Using the course fairly

The account is for one student. Please do not share the login, and do not copy, record, resell or republish the lessons, videos, slides or code.

We may suspend an account that is being shared widely or used to redistribute the material. We will contact you first unless the misuse is serious.

Who owns what

The course, the videos, the lesson text, the designs and the site itself belong to us. You may use them to learn, and to teach the student the account was bought for.

The code and the projects your student writes belong to your student. We may show a project publicly only with your written permission.

Safety

The kit contains small parts, batteries and electronics. It is not a toy for young children — keep it away from under-threes.

Some lessons involve tools, and from Level 4 soldering irons. Those lessons say so, and they are to be done with an adult present. You are responsible for supervising your student while they build.

Never charge or modify batteries in ways the lessons do not describe, and never leave a charging battery unattended.

Changes and availability

We improve the course as we teach it, so lessons may be added, reordered or rewritten. We will not remove a level you have paid for during your term.

The site may be unavailable occasionally for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. If a long outage costs you a meaningful part of a term, contact us and we will make it right.

If something goes wrong

Tell us first at hello@techmakerz.com. Most things are fixed the same week.

You also have the right to complain to the UAE Ministry of Economy's consumer protection service, and to the relevant authority in the United Arab Emirates. Using our complaints process does not take that right away.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of the United Arab Emirates have jurisdiction.
